First time I've read these Walt, and so glad I did. Wow - I see myself in this one, completely. So simple to stay in touch, and we are so hesitant to do it. Beevers past along the link. I need to thank him for that!
Such a powerful reminder how nice it feels when someone reaches out after a while. And the worst thing that can happen is you hear crickets. I'd say that's worth the risk.
Walt!!! I still remember these from ages ago. My favourite was the gas station bathroom and you describing your garden in the fall before winter. So glad these are back!!!!! #fan4life
So spot on with the article. Had a SM on my team reach out to a client at the start of the pandemic to say thanks for all they were doing to battle it. Within minutes client came back and said we need to chat, we need help. We continue to serve the client today and the SM is now an incredible Partner.
It works the same for 'internal' relationships. I'm now on the 'client side', and this advice applies equally...thanks for the nudge:)
This is awesome stuff Walt, really engaging and surprisingly entertaining.
Now another reason to look forward to Fridays. Great to hear from you again.
Next time we chat, I will show you my client engagement dashboard ;).
Walt, you don’t know me. We never got to work together but I really enjoyed reading your Friday Thoughts. Glad to see them back in my inbox again!
Anuj - thanks so much - who knows our paths may still cross !

Thanks Dave - we are all guilty - that persistent, pernicious voice in our heads....
