Walt, superbly penned, given we spoke live about your trip, this made your experience even more poignant for me. Wonderful lessons learned, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bill - it's not easy to translate some experiences into words. I am happy this one at least made it part way - thank you

Walt, of all the sage advice you have provided over the years, I find this post may be the most profound. A bit of the western desert does indeed refresh one's spirit. I'm glad you had the opportunity to experience this meaningful trip, and I'm most grateful for your willingness to share and to inspire others. After my own walkabout in the Southwest 18 months ago, the family and I all decided to move to Sedona. Loving every minute of our time here.

there is definitely something magic in the mountains around Sedona .. perhaps it is the simply the beauty and serenity of the hills..... maybe it is the energy from the vortexes..... and I am even open to the possibility of the aliens that have been reported to live underground nearby..... whatever it is, there is a magic about Sedona.... Thanks JD

Walt, it’s been a long long time. I have to believe I landed on this post for good reason. I just ended 17 years with an org and am in the “figure out what’s next” phase. At this point in life purpose and meaning land much higher on the list than they may have when I was 20 years younger - along with sustainability for the world, my family, and myself of course. Thanks for the lift and the links to other insights. I wish you well. Dale
